Elise

Baby Elise is trying very hard to grow up.  While we were in australia and new zealand she started crawling, sitting up, pulling herself up, eating baby food, and climbing stairs.  Since we've been here she has started to wave and will say haaaaaa occasionally. she has 2 bottom teeth with more coming.  she is growing up so fast I feel like shes a toddler already.

I know this is a weird picture to choose for this kind of post but I chose it for three reasons... 1. thats the way i felt when she totally skipped my fave baby stage, sitting but not mobile.  2.  i had to show aunty chels how cute she was in her ballet outfit before I put it in the dryer and it shrunk. whoops.  3. because for an entire day I sang dance baby dance

BlueBird Gap Farm

In an attempt to get out of the house (and not to a grocery store) I took the boys to bluebird gap farm to a magic show, one of the many summer activities this park has.  We arrived after getting a little lost just to discover the magic show was moved to another place due to the heat advisory.  boy, was it hot!!! seriously hot.  So we quickly walked around and saw the animals then I let the boys play on the playground for about 10 minutes so I could get really sweaty sitting under a tree with elise.  I'm going to say it was a free sauna without naked people. win win.  Then we left go to shopping, swimsuit shopping wasn't fun with three kids but hey it was air conditioned and cool and it was so funny to have William tell me to go over to the underwear section because there were more "swimsuits." never thought I'd have a conversation with a 5yr old boy about bikinis.

Virginia is for Lovers

We are here in Virginia and so is our stuff (after 10 days of waiting around for it to come). 
Some first impressions....

don't be fooled by the country-ness of it....thats the Y and Public Library to your right.

Our house is great and I'm getting lots of exercise going up and down stairs.  My next birthday wish will be to never own a house with stairs.

We already went to Virginia Beach, it wasn't planned so we weren't prepared but who wants to wait around in traffic if you can go to the beach, it reminds me of surfers paradise a bit. 

I have alot to learn about the military and the more I learn the more I think we'll be leaving it for sure in 3 years. Unless they send us to Europe then I may be persuaded to stay.

Sean has killed 3 black widows and 1 brown recluse so far.

I went to the park and got invited to a bible study group they were having there.  very interesting. I'll probably go back next week, make some friends, correct their bible, convert them before they convert me. haha.

I've been to every grocery store around and central market is still the winner.

There are not very many babies at church.  It is so weird to come from a ward that had a very large under 1 population.  I think I've counted 5 babies here.  In Houston elise had 5 friends born within 6 weeks.   

So I'm skipping blogging about australia/nz until i get all the pictures because i didn't write stuff down so i've forgotten what we did when and because its a big job, I like to procrastinate as much as i can.
