so you think you can dance

I think I may of changed my mind about jose tonight. I really loved his solo, and the fact that he had an injury and still danced got him lotsa brownie points in my book (or could it be that the producers faked his injury so he wouldn't have to dance in the group routine again...hmmm). Even though I'm a fan I still want to see him go home with Billy tomorrow night. I'll die if Kent Lauren or Robert are in the bottom 3.
On to other strange things, I didn't love any of the dances tonight. Maybe Kathryn and Roberts or Kent and jose and then nothing.

SYTYCD

The award for best choreography goes to...NappyTab, danced by AdeChicke and Comfort.
The award for Super fun can we see it again dance goes to... Kent and Kathryn.
The award for that was a wicked awesome concept dance goes to ... Sonia (Jose and Allyson).
The award for the absolute worst dance I've ever seen on SYTYCD goes to ... Jose and Adechike. Seriously it was worse than that Russian folk dance disaster.

Cars & Space Rangers

William. Mummy can we swap our car for a Ferrari? Mum can we get some Ferrari's at Target? Hey mum look at that car? Hey mum is that a Corvette? Mum see that car? its got fast wheels. When I get older I'm driving a race car. Hey mum I really want to play car games. I really, really want to play car games. Mum I just saw a Porsche, it went vroom past us.

Isaac got some Buzz Lightyear shoes and he now has a laser that he can activate by pressing his elbow, he can fly, he kills bad robots, climbs walls and wants me to be Batman and Will to be Spiderman. I wish I had a Nannycam.

Hotter than the forth of july

Today is the 4th of July so yesterday I was all prepared to have a good attitude and go to 4th of July things for my half American children. I was planning on taking them to the ward breakfast then to a parade and a festival but turns out Sean doesn't much like 4th of July festivities when Germany and Argentina are playing soccer. I wasn't going to push it so we skipped out on the breakfast, parade and festival. Just so we don't get kicked out of the country for not showing our love of America enough we did make it to the last 5 minutes of a carnival at A's elementary school where we were just in time to be the last people to go on a pony ride ($1 a ride talk about a bargain). The best part of the day came (and the one 4th of july celebration I was really looking forward to) when Will and I got to go swimming at a friends house sadly we missed out on the bbq because Sean went out with the missionaries (poor missionaries never getting a day off). Next year I think we'll skip all the other plans and just make sure we get to the swim and bbq. Swimming, food, friends and family is the best way to celebrate the 4th of July.

Happy 4th of July America and just so you don't get too much of an ego boost today I'd like to remind you that you are not the best at everything you're just blessed. So if you live in America then remember much is given, much is required and don't forget to bring your own chocolate. Good chocolate is something America didn't get given, I know its small in comparison to the constitution, sweet after thanksgiving sales, and the right environment for the gospel to be restored but chocolate is chocolate and we need it.

By the way Germany killed Argentina 4-0. Germany killed the Aussies 4-0 too. Does that make the socceroos as good as Argentina? or does it just say Germany is ridiculously good?

Water Storage

Reasons why everyone should have water in their food storage cupboard.

• because you take a bodycombat class at the YMCA right before you are going to a strawberry shortcake birthday party


• because you ignore promptings to take your stuff to shower at the YMCA


• because your non-fruit eating child asks for strawberries (yay) but then you drop the entire punnet on the floor.


• because your apartment complex likes to turn off the water completely without notice.


• Because you can wash your hair using bottles of water so you don't turn up smelling with disgusting hair to a strawberry shortcake birthday party


• because you have to wash not one but two kids bottoms when they both decide to poop everywhere right before you want to leave for the strawberry shortcake party


• and finally because want to wash your hands.

there you have it, we would have missed out on a super fun birthday party if I didn't have old juice bottles filled with water in my pantry. let this be a lesson to all.

I wasn't going to post tonight because I'd much rather be watching Eclipse with some of the fabulous ladies in my ward but Sean thinks school is more important than twilight and I couldn't get myself a babysitter. But here I am anyway

Thoughts for tonight

I wonder if eclipse ate into the ratings tonight? Does Cat have lipstick on her teeth? I wish I could rock Mia's hairdo.

Adechike & Lauren. What Brooklyn has no dancers? um last time I checked Brooklyn was really close to NYC and pretty sure there are a but load of talented dancers there. So for the entire dance I wanted to swap Adechike for Carlton from Fresh Prince. Kinda boring dance, not impressed with the sequin bra at least not as impressed as Lauren looked with herself.

I love all the amazon kindle commercial songs. does anyone know who sings them?

Ashley & Ade. Beautiful. Ade is super strong and Ashley was very trusting.

Would you rather be a talented dancer or a talented choreographer?

Billy. ewww he looks like he has no bones and no manly strength.

Robert & Courtney. Awkward medical history of your mother, seriously dude did you really have to announce that to the country? Sonia has the market on creepy dances cornered. I guess the judges didn't want Robert in the bottom three again.

Jose. When he was dancing Zac said 'wanna do that mummy' then Will said 'yeah mum you can do that'

Melinda & Pasha. Don't like Melinda. Nice wardrobe save. Poor girl she was just born 80 years too late.

Kent. Wow you can tell he is so nervous.

Alex FTW! love the floor work.

Lauren & Neil. Uh what about your mom? scary wardrobe malfunction! Why didn't Neil give her his vest or shirt? I liked the dance I think Lauren was thinking too much about it though so it didn't look really natural.

Ashley. didn't watch cause Will started dancing.

Robert. Nice solo very subtle wow moments.

Jose & Anya. So I have to hand it to Jose he is the only guy who has danced with Anya so far and kind of looked like a man doing it, other than that I thought he was terrible! why did the judges love it so much? honestly! its a dance competition.

Melinda. Blah.

Kent & Alison. nice flip down from the lift and awesome synchronization. I am starting to love Kent. Can any one tell me why the judges were so hard on him? kent=awesome dancer. jose=disaster with a nice smile. Its a dance competition people!

Adechike. His solo reminded me of the Alvin Ailey dance about slavery I can't remember what its called. (I should since I wrote a paper on it...I blame baby brain).

Lauren. Wear a different colour sweetheart.

Alex & Twitch. AWESOME! if you didn't see this one you need to look it up on youtube (did you love it bruce?) I really want a dvr just so I could have watched that performance again. Seriously if Alex doesn't win then I may boycott SYTYCD. I may even start voting for him, weird. so For those who don't know, I took ballet for a long time at a dance school and in college. For one modern dance class in college we did a style of dance called Mod Hop which was supposed to be modern and hip hop combined but it was more modern dance with a dash of hip hop and I struggled big time with that, I'm not a very talented dancer but my experience with mod hop made me admire Alex's performance all the more. Its so hard to get ballet gracefulness/positions out of your head and body. Seriously i catch myself in step classes at the gym doing ballet arms and whenever we do leg lifts I really have to concentrate on not turning my leg out and pointing my foot and I wasn't even a good ballet dancer let alone a professional who has obviously spent years of his life standing in fifth position! And then he does gangstsa hip hop and ballet in the same routine. Genius. Alex for the win!
