Friday Faves

• Famous Baby E arrived this week. A cutie pie with lots of hair, so much that I was wondering if D is really the dad. just kidding! don't hate me.
• Isaac: Mum its a Tron gumboot! (It was a cowboy boot with neon lights around it)
• Jerry came to Houston for business and we were lucky enough to have some time to get dinner. Try ordering vegan at Pappaduex. HA. I ate the fries off Williams plate.
• I watched the final episode of Larkrise to Candleford. Why do shows like Mcleods Daughters get so many seasons and brilliant shows like Larkrise to Candleford only get 4 seasons. Silly BBC don't they know they're the only ones that can pull off a period drama?
• While riding their bike/scooter this week Zac announced that he was Uncle S and he had superpower guns to kill bad guys. Will replied that he was Uncle J and he can go really fast.
• I faced my fears and went to the Doctor again with Will. It was a completely different experience with no crying or imaginary Doctor punching. Will is fine. Turns out he has allergies to something floating around this city. Who doesn't? can't wait to get some fresh air when we move.

Banjo Love

I really love the Banjo and I really hate country music. Can you see my problem? It wasn't my fault that I fell in love with the banjo. It was BYU-Idaho. I went to a student talent show and this guy who looked like he'd just come down the mountain complete with a beard played the the banjo. It was love. And I don't even know what song he played. So from then I tried and tried to find a band or artist who played the banjo and didn't sing with a country twang. Finally the Grammys found them. Mumford & Sons. A band with a Banjo that doesn't sound country. Go listen for yourself. If you think they sound country then you should know they are British so they can't be country just folk.

To be honest I do have 3 taylor swift songs, 1 dixie chicks song and a steve martin banjo song on my Ipod so maybe I don't hate country that much after all. Wait I do.

And! to all the cool people who have been listening to Mumford & Sons way before the Grammys, um you should have said something. I'm sure I am the last person to hear about this band.

And Bruno Mars was really good at the Grammys, too bad I hate his 'just the way you are' song and have vetoed him already.

And if I ever have to hear a Ke$ha, Black eyed peas or fergie song again I may have to dismantle the radio in my car.

I love your car carts because you can hold both kids and they can't get out.
I love your selection of organic produce and products so I can choose when I want to be all trendy and green and when I just really want to eat fake genectically modified food.
I love that I never ever have to wait in line. Except when there is a hurricane coming or when Houston is freaking out because of the chance of snow. Even then I've never waited behind more than 2 people.
I love that you give out stickers
I love that you always have bread samples so I can feed my children lunch.
I love that your produce actually looks fresh
I love that you have lobsters for my kids to look at

Friday Faves

The newest nascar race track is my kitchen table. Will and Zac drive cars around and around for hours. I don't' know how they do it I get dizzy after two rounds.

I must be getting old. I like slower music and I find my self telling Sean to turn off his beato beato noise. He listens to a lot of r&b rap stuff and techno which was cool about 10 years ago.

Little car. A couple of my friends were talking about how they couldn't wait to get a mini van and I have to say I really never want a mini van or an suv. I know I'm weird. I want to keep my little zippy car forever. I'm calling mary poppins to ask how her bag worked tonight.

This is my dream kitchen. Yet another project I'll have to do while Sean is gone because he hates it but unless he starts cooking or doing the dishes I am the boss of the kitchen.

Speaking of kitchens....I went vegan for this week, I was going to do it just for the week but now I've decided to do it for 4 weeks, so I can conduct a true experiment. I thought it was going to be horrible but it hasn't been bad at all. Turns out eating more veggies is actually making me feel good! I'll let you know how it goes and why I even did it, if I stay vegan for the next 3 weeks. Hopefully I won't drop dead from lack of bacon.

Super Hero

Zac thinks that if you have undies on you don't have to wear any other clothes. He also thinks that Spiderman, Batman, Ironman and Superman don't wear clothes. So I guess this is where superman would carry a sword if he ever needed one.

Will loves Grandpa because he wants to play with him and has boat races.
Zac loves Grandpa becasue he takes him to the park.

Friday Favourites

Since I seem to have a million little things that I think I should blog about but they really aren't worth an entire post I'm starting Friday Favourites. Every Friday I'll put all my favourite moments of the week into one post. simple. unless we do something super cool. Wait this is a blog I mean everyday of my life is super cool. (see here do you agree?)

Super Cool Stuff this week....

I decluttered about 10% of my house. sorry if you find something you gave me at goodwill I was pretty ruthless. I even got rid of clothes that I am attached to which I haven't' been able to put them on since before William was born but everyone knows that can still eat like a teenager and not gain weight. duh. its totally all baby weight. not haagen daaz ice cream or spoonfuls of nutella. Now I'll be kicking myself in 10 years when retro stuff is trendy again. for now I love the free space.

After zackie had an accident I asked him what he was going to do next time he needed to go to the bathroom and without hesitation he confidently replied HIDE!

William told me he was going to get a blue truck when he grows up. I told him when I grow up I want a Mini. He said well you better watch out for my truck. true.

Will had his first eye exam this week and he was very good until we'd been in there for about 2 hours and he started to fall asleep in the exam chair. It was so funny to watch. Seriously imagine cowboy dr steve shining a bright light into his eyes and asking him to look and nemo and he can't even keep his eyes open. So much better that the time he fell asleep in his high chair with food in his mouth (and less dangerous). yep you had to be there.

I am falling in love with yoga even though I am less flexible than the old lady who was next to me. Its really only the only exercise that I feel like a happy mummy after. You should try Yoga. Its the best. by the way the old lady had an oxygen tube thingo in the entire class.

i love these pink stairs. if i ever get a house with stairs i'm going to do this. probably while sean is at work....
